What's Coming Next Week? (provisional changelog; important, please read!)
Changes to Item Drops & Selling Prices
- Increased the Dino Dollar selling value of loot items largely known as "trash loot", turning them into useful loot.
- Increased stack sizes for these items so that you won't be having a hard time bringing them with you.
- Decreased the Dino Dollar selling value of Upgrade Items.
- If you have been storing Upgrade Items as a Dino Dollar reserve ‒ that is, with the aim of selling them at the market later ‒ we advise you to sell them before the update goes live next week.
- If you have been storing Upgrade Items for the sole purpose of upgrading your equipment, nothing will change for you.
- The selling price on the market now decreases more sharply for items with a level below that of the selling player.
- Added Entelodon skull and skeleton loot items.
- The main goal of these changes is to improve the situation of players farming in the game's high-level areas (level 50+), who have been at a relative disadvantage because they could not benefit from the "multi drop" mechanic that encourages players to hunt mobs way above their own level ‒ simply because the game does not have enemy units with a level greater than 55.
- For low to mid level players, the Dino Dollar output from farming remains about the same.
- Just make sure to pick up all the loot items ‒ there is no more "trash loot" now!
- On respawn, mobs now have an added attack on sight delay of 6 seconds. This means you have plenty of time to get out of the way when powerful enemies respawn right at your position.
- Refactored spawn distribution system to react faster and more precisely to allow for an optimal spawn area selection.
- Also reduced the tendency of mob groups to cluster around their spawn position.
- Increased the amount of enemy units that spawn in the level 50 to 55 areas of Maujak Mountains.
- Adjusted the attributes of entelodon / smilodon / brontops mobs to turn them into more worthy opponents.
