The area to the west of Dinoville might not be literally paved with gold, but it isn’t far from it either: The Goldfields owe their name to the mine situated right in the center of a breathtaking canyon landscape.
Of course, where there’s gold there’s bandits, and not far away. They call themselves the «Sentencia», and with their well-organized and swiftly operating groups of Coelophysis riders they manage to terrorize not just the gold mine, but all the other facilities in the area: The farm, the warehouse, and last but not least the Power Plant.
Cooper Smith, the engineer operating the water-driven turbines, is deeply relieved about the mayor’s decision to increase the number of rangers on patrol:
«That man earned my vote! So far no one could stop the Sentencia from lifting Energy Containers right from my doorstep. The whole town is angry with me because I can’t deliver! Poor Neil West lost some newborn Brontops because he couldn’t keep them warm.»
Said Mr. West, the local stock-farmer, is worried about the rangers’ objectivity:
«People don’t give a damn about livestock. They think they can live on love alone as long as they can feast their eyes on their oh-so-precious gold! That master ranger Black Burns is no exception, and you can quote me on that.»
