Today's update contained a bug that caused certain item types to stay on the ground after picking them up, meaning that they could be picked up multiple times. With some inventory management, these items could be duplicated an infinite amount of times -- which of course will break any game with an item-based economy eventually.
Furthermore, the ability to duplicate items that are relevant to player versus player combat is also fit to break the balance between players in a competitive game such as ours.
When we fixed the exploit around 3 PM UTC+2, our priority was to get servers back up quickly. This meant that items that had been duplicated using the above method stayed in the game at that time.
However, we will of course look into our data to see which players were using the exploit to unrightfully obtain items, and we will act accordingly. Please stay tuned for now.

P.S.: We would like to say a big THANK YOU to those players who made us aware of the exploit. Thanks to your help, we were able to react more quickly.
